Protests are still going on after the assassination of Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhatt. The people protesting want to talk to the government and demand security. It has been more than 10 days since Rahul was killed. People protesting after the murder are following the rituals in the demonstration field itself. On this, filmmaker Vinod Kapri has criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Jammu and Kashmir PDP spokesman Mohit Bhan shared a video showing protesters performing the rituals that will take place on the 10th day of Rahul Bhatt’s assassination. Sharing the video, Mohit wrote that ‘Today is the 10th day of Rahul ji’s death. As per Hindu customs, Kashmiri Pandit workers perform rituals on the 10th day in Mattan Kashmir and in solidarity shave their heads as per customs. The protests continue in the camps waiting to meet with the LG to meet their demands.
In response to this, filmmaker Vinod Kapri mocked the prime minister, writing, “Where is Narendra Modi, who put the entire Indian government, many state governments, the entire party into promoting the film?” Vinod Kapri’s reference here was to the film The Kashmir Files. A user named Malang wrote that ‘It is the Modi government that is getting the freedom that he is demonstrating because he has faith! Modi will not stop migrating, Modi will not let the whole family rape and die, this is what the whole country believes, not just him! He keeps doing politics!
One user wrote that ‘You were attacking the film exposing the inhumane act of terrorism. Now how cunningly you are attacking the government just to hide the actions of Islamic terrorists. Where do you get so much shame? A user named Shailendra Kapoor wrote that “this party only uses Kashmiri Pandits for their benefit.”
A user named Manohar Chaudhary wrote that ‘Working hard day and night to sell government property’. A user named Nitin wrote that ‘Vivek Agnihotri ji, seeing his pain, your tears must have come, please help them and get help from the government too. They have earned by making a movie about them and now justice is done to them. One user wrote that ‘Brother, you remember Modi in every tweet, someday if Modi remembers you, then the shop will be closed!’
