Twinkle Khanna, wife of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, recently interviewed Rajmata Padmini Devi for Tweak India. We tell you that Padmini Devi was the princess of Sirmaur and in 1966 she married Maharaja Sawai Bhavani and became the Rajmata of Jaipur. During the interview, Twinkle Khanna recalled many anecdotes about her daughter Nitara and her mother Dimple Kapadia.
While sharing an anecdote with Padmini Devi, the actress shared that her mother Dimple Kapadia had told her that she had once seen a ghost in the royal palace. The actress said, “I remember my mother once told me that she had come to the palace to spend the night. She realized where she was lying, there was a woman sitting next to her bed and she talked to her. And later, when she left, my mother realized that she was a spirit. Twinkle asks Rajmata, have you seen ghosts in this palace?
The Rajmata replied with a laugh, “Not at all. Your mother was playing a ghost in a movie during that time. When she told me this story, I said to Dimple, you are shooting like a ghost all day, so you must thinking that someone is with you. Padmini Devi further says that “It never happened. No one ever said there’s a ghost here.”
Twinkle also asked Rajmata about her relationship with Lord Ram and shared an anecdote of her daughter telling what her daughter Nitara once asked her. She says that God is everywhere. He’s at home, on the couch, on the plate… So when I go to the bathroom, am I doing the bathroom on God?’ I had no answer”, Rajmata Padmini Devi’s family had revealed in an interview to an English channel that her husband Bhavani Singh was the 309th descendant of Lord Rama’s son Kush.
