Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar has expressed her displeasure over Home Minister Narottam Mishra’s statement regarding the lynching of an elderly man by a BJP leader in Madhya Pradesh’s Neemuch district. Narottam Mishra had said that he was old and lost, that he could not present himself. His family told us that he also suffered from mental illness. Swara Bhaskar was upset by this statement and questioned the Home Minister on Twitter.
Swara wrote: “So if he had turned out to be a Muslim, it would have been okay to beat him to death? What kind of message is this from the Madhya Pradesh Home Minister? A gross violation of the rule of law.” Many people have given their reaction to this tweet from Swara.
Ibrahim Syed wrote, “You are the only actress in Bollywood who always opposes injustice. It is not easy to speak the truth like that without any benefit. May God have mercy on you. You are a strong soul.”
Ritesh Jain wrote: “Take care of your business, what do you have to do? They always come and talk.” At the same time, some users try to show Swara some of those videos, in which Muslims allegedly torture Hindus.
Here is the case: Three days ago, a 65-year-old man was beaten to death in Neemuch on suspicion of being a Muslim. The one who did this to the old lady is none other than the husband of a former councilor from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The Shivraj government had secured action against the culprit.
According to information, the deceased was the brother of the elder sarpanch of the Ratlam district, Pistabai Chattar. He, along with his family, had gone to Chittorgarh to worship Bheruji on May 15. After darshan, the late Bhanwarlal disappeared on May 16, after which his body was found lying on the road in Manasa, Neemuch on May 19. After which the video of Bhanwarlal’s beating surfaced. The accused BJP leader’s name is Dinesh Kushwaha and he went on the run after the video went viral. When they sent a bulldozer to demolish his house, he went ahead and the police arrested him.
