We reported that Yasin Malik was charged with sections of criminal conspiracy, engaging in illegal activities including waging war against the country and disturbing the peace of Kashmir, which he had confessed to in court. The sections under which Yasin Malik has been convicted carry a maximum sentence of death or a minimum sentence of life in prison.
