Actor Pankaj Tripathi says that he doesn’t like to make movies or shows in a language he doesn’t feel comfortable with. Tripathi, who has proven himself in films such as the web series “Mirzapur”, “Stree”, “Gurgaon” and “Ludo”, says he is in favor of any other actor dubbing his voice in films in other languages. .
Pankaj Tripathi (45) said ‘I don’t like the idea of speaking in a language I don’t feel comfortable in in any movie or web series. I am not in favor of my dialogues being called by someone else. My acting and expressions complement my voice, otherwise my role is incomplete there. When asked if he would ever work on a Bengali film, Tripathi said that he understands the Bengali language, but that is not enough. The actor is currently making headlines with filmmaker Srijit Mukherji’s ‘Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga’.
The film will open in theaters across the country on Friday. The story of the film is inspired by the true events of the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, where people abandoned their elderly relatives to hunt tigers and then claimed compensation from the administration. When asked if working on “Sherdil” made him learn more about environmental conservation, Tripathi said that he has always been associated with nature.
Tripathi, a resident of Belsand village in Bihar’s Gopalganj district, said the character of Gangaram in ‘Sherdil’ was not a difficult character to play on screen. ‘Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga’, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Reliance Entertainment, also stars actor Neeraj Kabi and actress Sayani Gupta.
