Lyricist Javed Akhtar and writer Tariq Fateh got into a heated argument on Twitter. It started with a tweet from Fateh. In which he wrote, quoting another writer and thinker Sanu Sankrant, “India is the only civilization in the world, where you are systematically taught to hate your culture and heritage and to glorify those people who were thieves… who had come to destroy it.” Commenting on this tweet by Tariq Fateh, Javed Akhtar said that can all whites in North America be called infiltrators?
Javed Akhtar further wrote: ‘Akbar was an Indian, but not your father, who thought it appropriate to emigrate and settle in Pakistan. A person like you who spent 11 years in Saudi Arabia is teaching us the lesson of secularism… Shut up him. In response to this, Tarif Fateh wrote: “Islamic invaders and plunderers from India will have to go down to the creek to argue with you.”
Javed Akhtar said: I will not stay silent now: Javed Akhtar was furious at Tariq Fateh’s response. He wrote in the following tweet: ‘Tariq Fateh, I’m not going to reply to all the tweets from all your illiterate goth followers, but every time you are born in Pakistan and are a fake citizen of Canada you will try to spread poison in my country through Twitter. … will give a good answer. On this, Tariq Fateh shared a video of former IAS and writer Sanjay Dixit in his next tweet. In which he says a lot about Javed Akhtar and is seen accusing him. Javed Akhtar went further in this tweet. He wrote: ‘I feel sorry for you. You are liar number one. When you haven’t found anything against me, then you are spreading such lies….
