Anjali Munjal is a beautiful professional dancer, dance teacher and choreographer who has a creative ability to express herself through her sense of rhythm and music and postures. She has an excellent ability to work in a team with singers, artists and actors. They harmonize very well the movements of the body with the rhythm of the musical accompaniment. Munjal has given her performance in many big forums and at home and abroad. She has received many scholarships and awards so far.
After graduating in Philosophy from Gargi College, University of Delhi, Munjal obtained Alankar degree in Kathak from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. Since he was in school, he started performing on big stages. He danced at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at the opening ceremony of the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. Munjal gave the dazzling performances of her in 2012, 2014 and 2017 at the Neemrana Fort located in Rajasthan.
Speaking of solo performance, she has danced in Rajappa Mahotsav (2019), Ritu Vasant Mahotsav, Udaipur (2019), and Chakradhar Samaroh, Raigad (2018). He did solo Kathak singing during the Sopan Young Musicians and Dancers Festival in 2018. In the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) ‘Horizon’ series, he performed in Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Goa and Trivandrum from 2012 to 2018. At ICCR sponsored events, he has performed in Panama, South America, Nepal, Italy, Morocco, Kuwait, etc.
Munjal gained a lot of fame not only for his productions but also as a choreographer. He choreographed at the World Bank’s Diwali celebrations for three consecutive years (2017, 2018 and 2019). He choreographed in Vaibhav (2009), Ashta Naika (2010), Rubaru (2012), Nav Durga (2014, 2015, 2017), Baramasa (2017), and Vasavadatta (2019).
Munjal has received a Young Artists Grant from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India and Kala Sangam, Delhi. Other than this, she has received the Kapila Vatsayan Scholarship and the Tara Bhattacharyaji Scholarship from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. Munjal has also received the seventh Rajiv Gandhi Pratibha Award. She has been a dance teacher at Kala Sangam, Delhi from 2015 to 2019 and currently runs her own institute ‘Jhankar’ in Delhi.
